Stoplight Parrotfish
Where to See It Coral reefs while snorkelling, island-wide

A reef rainbow of emerald, blue and rose, the parrotfish scrapes algae from the coral with a beak of fused teeth, and in doing so it makes sand. Much of the soft white sand of a Caribbean beach has passed through a parrotfish. Hold still underwater and you can actually hear it crunching away at the reef.
