Carib Grackle

Quiscalus lugubris

Carib Grackle
Where to See It Towns, beaches and cafe terraces everywhere

Glossy blue-black and impossible to ignore, the grackle struts across car parks, beaches and terraces with a swagger all its own. The male fans his tail and gives a creaking, whistling call. Clever and endlessly adaptable, it is one of the birds you will come to know best on the island.
