Where to See It Coasts, lagoons and salt ponds, mainly the cooler months

A magnificent fish hawk, dark brown above and clean white below, that hunts by hovering high over the water then plunging feet first to seize a fish in its talons. Ospreys visit Grenada largely as passage migrants and winter visitors, patrolling the coast, the Levera lagoon and the salt ponds. One carrying a silver fish back to a favourite perch is a fine sight on a still morning.
