Hawksbill Turtle
Where to See It Coral reefs while snorkelling, especially Molinere Bay

The reef's elegant gardener, named for its narrow, hawk-like beak, which it uses to pluck sponges from the coral. Its beautiful amber and brown shell is the very thing that made it a target and pushed it to the edge. Calm and unhurried, hawksbills are a snorkeller's delight. If you share the water with one, hold your distance and let it pass in its own time.
