Spotted Eagle Ray

Aetobatus narinari

Spotted Eagle Ray
Where to See It Sandy flats and reef edges, diving and snorkelling

One of the most graceful sights in Grenadian waters, the spotted eagle ray flies through the blue on broad wings patterned with white spots, trailing a long whip of a tail. Shy and harmless, it cruises sandy flats and reef edges in search of shellfish, which it crushes with plated teeth. To share the water with one is unforgettable.
